(Senior) Commercial Business Analyst (m/f/x)

As a Commercial Business Analyst for the Consumer Electronics (CE) Team at rebuy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our CE offerings. This role goes beyond traditional category management, steering the categories toward achieving substantial revenue and profitability goals. Your passion for the world of physical products, coupled with a strategic mindset, will be instrumental in managing our broad assortment.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial strategy and planning:

• You will be responsible for the sales planning and forecasting of your respective categories, from building the bottom up budget for your own categories, to short-term commercial targets

• You build the categories strategy, using internal and external data, and implement it with the support of all other departments

• You will execute cross-functional analysis to support trade-off decisions and projects on overarching topics with a direct impact on several parts of the local P&L

Performance and analytics:

• You will monitor the business performance of your categories, point out and explain deviations, derive commercial recommendations to close performance gaps, and implement them.

• You are responsible for the financial success of your categories, on both the top and bottom line. You analyze your categories performance and explain P&L deviations to senior management.

Commercial ownership:

To reach your own set targets, you own the sales mix for your categories:

• You create and implement the pricing strategies for your assortment to ensure the sales and profitability maximization of your categories. Together with the Pricing team, you further develop internal pricing tools and logics.

• You co-define sales and marketing campaigns with Campaign, CRM and Paid Marketing teams

• You build the relevant product assortment leveraging customer interest data, and together with Product and Content teams, ensure that the optimized journey for your users. Using market data, you evaluate opportunities to enhance the assortment.

• You build your sales strategy across multiple sales channels and countries supported by the Marketplace and Country Management teams

• Strong communication skills in English.

• You have gained 5+ years of work experience in a consumer-oriented commercial, financial, consulting or highly analytical role.

• You have a good understanding of the main P&L lines in an e-commerce-retailing environment.

• You are thrilled by the idea of both analyzing and implementing the findings to lead your categories to success.

• You are a strategic commercial thinker with impressive analytical skills and a critical mindset. You have strong technical skills in Excel. SQL knowledge is a plus.

• Good understanding of metrics around inventory health, with the responsibility to find a good balance between availability and overstock levels.

• Excellent skills in project management, working with cross-functional teams, and leading complex projects defining the problem, analyzing its components, decomposing it into subproblems, solving those subproblems, and then integrating the solutions.
